The Shadows of Shoah Exhibition is a unique multidisciplinary Holocaust exhibition. Since its launch by New Zealand Prime Minister John Key at a United Nations International Holocaust Remembrance Day event in 2013 it has toured art galleries, museums, and public spaces throughout New Zealand. It is currently undertaking its twentieth staging.
In a media saturated culture Shadows of Shoah has gained acclaim for its ability to engage the young, the media savvy, and the general public by its use of strong imagery, original music and poignant, brief, historically accurate accounts.
The creators of Shadows of Shoah have produced a new work, internationally debuted in Brisbane, Australia.
Building on the success, concepts and stories of Shadows of Shoah, the new exhibition takes its name from the Prophet Jeremiah’s Lamentation over the destruction of his people. River of Tears takes the work to a new level with an innovative multi-sensory immersive experience.
